The sky, with the clouds and sun or moon and stars, changing colors not just with the weather but with the passing of the day, is truly one of the most magnificient pallets we have been given. As this piece started to come together it was almost like a time lapse of one of my favorite skies - bright blue with fluffy snaking clouds that move with the sun as it creeps across the sky. The blue and white were poured and the yellow was painted in with overbeaten abaca pulp. One of my favorite things about this piece is how it looks when held to the light (picture included) because you can really see the layers and the movement increases. Van Gogh's art is always an inspiration to me and I think Vincent must have been at my side for this one.
